Drugstore Game Padawan Update: Free Cottonelle

If you're just tuning in, I'm mentoring Nicole in The Drugstore Game. If you've always wanted to play but weren't sure how to get started, follow along with Nicole as she becomes a Drugstore Game Master. You can read all of the posts in this series here, in reverse chronological order.

Nicole went to Walgreens today, and did the transaction we'd planned out earlier:

2 Wet Ones x $2 = $4
2 Curel x $6 = $12
2 Wrigley's (filler) x .79 w/ ad coupon = $1.58
- 2 x $1.50/1 Wet Ones printable coupon
- 2 x $2/1 Curel from 12/6 SS
- $2 + $3 RR

She paid $5.58 + tax and received a $5 RR for Curel and $1 RR for Wet Ones. Unless something comes up, we're done with Walgreens for the week and will be focusing on CVS.

And speaking of CVS, today she used a $6 ECB to buy a box of 6 SoyJoy bars for $6 and received a $6 ECB back. I love simple transactions like that to get stuff for free!

Nicole mentioned that she really needs toilet paper, so I suggested the following transaction:

Cottonelle 20-double roll bonus pack $12.88
2 Oust $3.99 each
Total: $20.86

- $5 off $20 coupon (no longer available to print)
- $3.99 with B1G1 Oust from 1/3 SS
- $1/1 Cottonelle printable coupon (you could also use 50 cents/1 from 12/13 SS)
- $6 ECB

Pay $4.87 + tax and get $6 ECB for Oust and $4 ECB for Cottonelle

However, Nicole had previously mentioned snagging the last Oust at her store, and it's not necessarily something that will be restocked. So if the Oust is out of stock, I suggested the following scenario:

Cottonelle bonus pack $12.88
1 SoyJoy 6-pack $6
1 Glade Fabric & Air Spray $3.99
Total: $22.87

- $5 off $20 purchase coupon
- $1/1 Cottonelle printable coupon
- $6 ECB

Pay: $10.87 + tax and get $4 ECB for Cottonelle, $6 ECB SoyJoy and $3 ECB Glade

With the second transaction, she'll have to spend more out of pocket, but she still gets the toilet paper for free and has more ECBs to spend on future transactions.

Happy Shopping to all!

I've been doing a lot of "research" on the drugstore game. Thanks for all of the help. I noticed in the Smart Source Coupons that there are two for the same brand - Cloreseptic. Can you use more than one coupon on one item?
