Update on the Tylenol/Benadryl/etc. recall from last Friday: I haven't heard back from them yet, and The Consumerist reports the same difficulty in finding out the compensation that will be provided. One of the commenters said she took her products in to CVS and they offered her store brand replacements, which would be an acceptable solution to me so I may try it. I need to have some kind of children's anti-histamine because of food allergies, so I was planning on buying a store brand anyway. Also, my dad sent me a link to an article reporting that bacteria was found in the recalled Tylenol.

Christian Clippers has this week's Vons match ups, which include cheap Sara Lee bread and Ziploc bags.

Christian Clippers also has this week's Stater Bros. match ups, which include cheap London broil and chicken.

I called yesterday for the McNeil recall. I got right through to a person and didn't have to wait. She took all my numbers and told me I would receive a check in the mail. When I asked how much it would be she told me that my Children's Motrin would be $8 each, Chidren's Tylenol Cold would be $7 each, and the Children's Benadryl I had would be $6 each. I don't know if these prices are regional and they're probably for the specific ones I had, but it gives you an idea of what they're giving back. She did not say how long it would take my check to get to me. When I asked she told me the new products should be back on the shelves in about 2 weeks. That seems soon to me. Good Luck!

Just wanted to thank you for your original post about this and your concern with the manufacturer. I heard yesterday on Fox News that there were no quality controls in place at the manufacturing facility for these products. SCARY! I'm just glad that I normally buy generic and don't have these products.
