Healthy Lifestyle Giftbag Giveaway from the American Cancer Society

According to the American Cancer Society, one in three women will get cancer in her lifetime. Yet about half of all cancer deaths could be prevented if people maintained a healthy weight through diet and regular exercise; avoided tobacco products; and got recommended cancer screening tests. But, as busy moms know, it’s not always easy to incorporate these healthy behaviors into a busy lifestyle! In fact, a new national survey of approximately 2,000 women ages 25-64 revealed that they are so busy being caretakers of others, they have little time to take care of their own health.

I can certainly relate - I've put my health on the backburner all too often, but recently, I joined Weight Watchers Online and began exercising regularly again. I also visit my doctors and dentist for regular check ups. It's really hard to make the time to do all of these things, but I'm trying to prioritize my health in the same way that I prioritize my kids' health.

To encourage all women to prioritize their health, the American Cancer Society has created a new campaign called Choose You. The Choose You campaign reminds us that by committing to their health, women will be better able to care for their families and serve as role models for their children, families, and friends.

And to help you make the commitment to choose yourself, I have a Healthy Lifestyle Giftbag to give one lucky CFO reader. The Giftbag includes a water bottle, T-shirt, hair clip, pens and a Walgreens gift card.

To enter this giveaway, visit Choose You and tell me a tip you learned at the site in the form below. If you're having trouble with the form, you can go directly to the published form. This entry is mandatory and must be completed before the additional entries below.

For an additional entry, tell me your best tip for staying healthy in the form below.

For a third entry, subscribe to CFO via RSS or email and fill out the form again to let me know you've done so.
You'll get the latest on CFO delivered right to your favorite feed aggregator or inbox. If you're already a subscriber, just fill out the form to let me know.

For a fourth entry, follow me on Twitter and tweet about the giveaway. Then fill out the form to let me know you've done so (include the link to your update).

For a fifth entry, blog about the giveaway on your own blog. Then let me know about it by filling out the form again with the link to your post.

You can enter up to five times (one for each type), and you must complete the form once per entry. Only one entry of each type per email address will be counted. I'll select the winners using and announce them here on CFO as well as contact them by email. Winners must respond within 24 hours, otherwise their prize will be forfeited and a new winner will be selected.

The giveaway ends at 9:00 p.m. PDT on June 22, and is open to U.S. residents only. Good luck!

Disclosure: The American Cancer Society sent me one giftbag and is providing another giftbag for the winner. Information has been supplied by the sponsor but any opinions are my own.

@Carrie - Unfortunately, I think you're just in that portion of the population that gets cancer even if otherwise healthy. :( I'm very sorry it happened to you but am glad treatment seems to be working. I hope you are in long-term remission before you know it!
