Target Toy Clearance: It's not too late!

Target's seasonal toy clearance is going on right now, and some of the toys have hit the 75% discount mark. Apparently the store nearest my house is one of the top five stores in the country, which explains why their clearance section is always decimated. So I wasn't expecting to find anything good when I stopped by today to pick up a few other things, and I was shocked to see a couple of Star Wars action figures that the boys will love - a two-pack of Hoth snow troopers with snow speeders for $6.49 and an ARF clone trooper (I'm not kidding, that's what he's called) with some kind of AT-AT walker. There was also a cart full of Hello Kitty travel toys, and I picked one up for a birthday party tomorrow for just $3.08.

The point I'm trying to make is that if the store near me still has stuff, then other stores probably do too. So it's definitely worth checking out!

I'm not the only one loving the toy clearance - see all the stuff Mercedes got yesterday over at Common Sense with Money.

I just got home from Target myself. I got several neat Kai Lan toys, a baby activity center, a no-spill bubble tumbler, and a cool wooden police car that can be taken apart and reassembled. I spent $17, and the value was around $75.

I also picked up my free backpack from Staples, and used the new 15% coupon as well. So, $100 backpack for $44 with a full rebate.

And, I hit LL BEAN for their 20% off backpack sale. I got one of their junior packs for my 4-year old for preschool for $18. And, I'm loving the lifetime guarantee on it!
