Midmorning Coffee: Daily Deals

Amazon's Deal of the Dayis this Scotch Thermal Laminatorfor just $17.99 (list price over $80). It gets 4 1/2 out of 5 stars in 80 reviews. Disclosure: I'm an Amazon affiliate, so any purchase you make after entering Amazon through a link on Chief Family Officer supports this site at no additional cost to you. Thank you!

The other day, I mentioned Plum District, a deal of the day site that offers a daily discounted deal. I thought some of you might be interested in today's deal, which is $30 worth of eco-friendly bags from Pouch Pals for $15. They have reusable sandwich bags and reusable snack-size bags, so you can replace any plastic baggies you might be sending with the kids or using yourself. The bags can be wiped down or even put through the washing machine, and they are PVC, BPA and phthalate free. The sandwich bags are $9 and the snack bags are $7 (you can't use the $30 voucher towards shipping, and I can't figure out how much that costs - does anyone know?). Disclosure: If you join Plum District using my referral link, we'll both get a bonus when you make your first Plum Deal purchase - thank you!

Keep an eye on your email for an offer from Shutterfly - I got one for 10 free 5x7 folded greeting cards or 10 free 5x7 flat stationery cards. Although as I recall, I didn't go for the last free card offer because shipping was per card even when shipping to the same address and I wasn't about to pay 99 cents per card. I haven't tried this one yet to see how the shipping is priced.

Money Saving Mom reports that you can get a photo book at Snapfish for just $1.99 shipped with code babybook. I'll be getting one as holiday gift for one of the grandparents or great-grandparents.

I got the Shutterfly offer for the cards. At first I did Christmas cards, but shipping was $5.99 and that was more than I wanted to pay since I can usually get them free. I ended up making 10 5x7 folded generic birthday cards -- that's $.60 each for a birthday card with our picture on it! I felt that was a better deal.
