Midmorning Coffee: 10 Things to Say Yes To & No To

Last week, life coach Cheryl Richardson's newsletter had three lists that nicely encapsulate some sound advice: 10 Things to Say Yes To, 10 Things to Say No To, and 10 Things that Contribute to a Great Life. Coincidentally, it was about 10 years ago that I discovered Richardson through her book, Take Time for Your Life: A Personal Coach's 7-Step Program for Creating the Life You Want. The book really helped me become more self-responsible, self-aware, and self-respectful (does that last one make sense? I mean it helped me learn to do things like say no to requests). In fact, I am going to look for my copy so I can re-read it. The timing for that feels right. Disclosure: The book link is to Amazon, and I'm an Amazon affiliate, so any purchase you make after entering Amazon through a link on Chief Family Officer supports this site at no additional cost to you. Thank you!

Here's another free Kindle book: Living Rich by Spending Smart: How to Get More of What You Really Wantby Gregory Karp. You can read it without a Kindle by using a free Kindle reading app.

For my friend K. (hope you're feeling better!): Groupon has the Fairytale Brownies deal ($40 for $20) in Dayton (deal nearby) and Fort Worth (deal nearby), and the Insomnia Cookies deal (24 cookies for $22, shipped) in Cedar Rapids/Iowa City. Disclosure: If you sign up for Groupon using my referral link, I'll get a bonus. After you've registered, don't forget to shop through Ebates to get 6% cash back!
