Midmorning Coffee: It's Mega Swagbucks Friday

Search & WinSwagbucks is by far my favorite way to earn free money, so I love Fridays, when there's an increased chance of winning big Swag Bucks. Plus, get one daily Swag Buck by taking the Daily Poll, and another daily Swag Buck for using their toolbar. Also, today is the last day to join and get 30 bonus Swag Bucks with code SBTVisOnTheAir. To learn more about Swag Codes (a way to get free Swag Bucks!), check out the Swag Code page. Disclosure: If you join Swagbucks using my referral link, I'll get bonus Swag Bucks, so thank you if you do!

Amazon's Video Game Deal of the Dayis a hot one: LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4for just $32.49 for consoles (Wii, Xbox 360, Playstation 3; regularly $49.99) and $19.49 for handhelds (Nintendo DS, Sony PSP) and PC. This would be a great buy to stash away for the holidays, and I'd get it for Alex if we weren't all Lego'd out on Star Wars,Batman, and Indiana Jones(we went a little overboard when we discovered the difficulty level was manageable for a five-year-old). Disclosure: I'm an Amazon affiliate, so any purchase you make after entering Amazon through a link on Chief Family Officer supports this site at no additional cost to you. Thank you!

Also at Amazon, the Droid IIis just one penny with a new service plan. I was an existing Verizon customer when I got my Droid through Amazon a few months ago, and I had no troubles renewing my contract and switching service from my old phone to the Droid. And the Droid has been great, although I must admit I'm not entirely certain it's worth the $30/month for the data plan. On the other hand, the GPS function through Google Maps has been a total lifesaver when we're going to places we've never been.

I've been wanting a steam mop for the uncarpeted areas of our home, so I found this thread over at A Full Cup very interesting. If you have anything suggestions, I'd love to hear them!

I bought the SteamFast canister steamer because it can mop but also handle other tasks (bathrooms). I got it from Walmart online:

I like it but the brush and scrubbing pad attachments do have a short lifespan, as several reviewers note. I've been meaning to buy the garment attachment from the manufacturer so we can also use it as a clothing steamer, but just haven't gotten around to it.
