Midmorning Coffee: Kindle for the Web is here

Update: I just wanted to add a quick update to let you know there's a hot printable coupon for $2.50/1 Huggies Little Movers or Little Snugglers diapers. Print it now while it's available! (Sort by "Household" on the left to find it easier.) Link via Logical Media.

Amazon has a new beta for Kindle for the Web,which allows you to read Kindle book samples online without downloading anything. If you've been avoiding downloading any of the free reading apps, your patience has paid off. It doesn't look like samples are available for all books yet, but I love the idea that you can read the first chapter of a book to see if it's one you think you'd like - it would be especially handy when it comes to fiction by an unfamiliar author.

Amazon also has Halloween Silly "Spooky" Bandsfor $3.99 for a 12-pack. That's 33 cents apiece, and while it may be more expensive than candy, it's a great alternative if you want to keep your kids off the sweet stuff. I can see it now: I'll give you 1 silly band for every 10 pieces of candy. Would it work? Disclosure: I'm an Amazon affiliate, so any purchase you make after entering Amazon through a link on Chief Family Officer supports this site at no additional cost to you. Thank you!

CellfireThere are new coupons at, which you can load to your shoppers card for various grocery store (Vons, Pavilions and Ralphs here in SoCal, our Safeway and Kroger affiliates). I saw the usual suspects, including Yoplait (cups, Fiber One and Splitz, which I think is new), Green Giant, and Betty Crocker. Links via
