Midmorning Coffee: BPA-free tomatoes at Whole Foods confirmed

As I mentioned the other day, Growing Up Gabel reported that some stores carry the Pomi brand of processed tomatoes, which come in BPA-free packages (more on BPA here). So when I was at Whole Foods yesterday, I looked, and there were just two boxes on the shelf so I'm guessing at least one other person in my area is concerned about BPA in tomatoes too. I bought one 26-oz. box for $3.59 - kind of pricey, to be sure. I'm curious to see how they taste. has more coupons again, including $1/1 Mrs. T's Pierogies. There's also a coupon for 55 cents/1 Dannon Danactive, which is included in the Mega Sale at Ralphs. Links via

Borders Rewards members can use this printable coupon to get 40% off the list price of any kid's toy or game, including Legos (exp 11/8). I can't find any info at the Borders site about this, but the email I received says that stores are having a Lego party at 2 p.m. on Saturday. I recommend calling your store to see if it's participating if you're interested.

Growing Up Gabel shares her cooking game plan for the holidays. I should think ahead too, and get my annual sweet potato streuseled casserole in the freezer. I'm going to have try that recipe for Cream Cheese Sugar Cookies, too.
