Midmorning Coffee: Cyber Week?

Amazon can't help themselves. Since Monday is over, they've now gone to Cyber Week Lightning Deals. Deals include duct tape at 8 a.m. PST (I'm not kidding!), pearl earrings at 11 a.m., and a stationery bike at 1 p.m. There are also lots of pet deals throughout the day. Disclosure: I'm an Amazon affiliate, so any purchase you make after entering Amazon through a link on Chief Family Officer supports this site at no additional cost to you. Thank you!

New members to daily deal site Groupon may be able to get a $1 credit when you join with code NEWSLICK. The code may work for current members too, but it didn't for me. Today's Groupon deals include ingredients for 2 low-calorie pies from Guiltless Pleasures Desserts for $18 in Hartford (shipping included), a Harry Potter Wall Art bundle for $65 in Boston and Seattle (see the "Holiday Store" to the right), and $36 worth of gourmet treats from Brownie Points for $18 in Columbus (Groupon can be applied toward shipping). These are online deals that can be purchased by anyone regardless of location - just click on "Visit More Cities" at the top of the page to get the deal. You can also get a $10 credit when someone signs up using your referral link and makes their first purchase (thank you if you join(ed) Groupon using my referral link!). Don't forget to shop through Ebates to get back 3% of your purchase.

Common Sense with Money reports that you can get 2 free 3-D Foamies Craft Kits at Rite Aid this week. has updated their coupons. I'm seeing lots of General Mills product coupons, including my favorite, cereal coupons for Chex, Multigrain Cheerios, and Cookie Crisp:
