Midmorning Coffee: Did you know American Apparel has children's clothes?

Today's national Groupon is a hot one: a $50 voucher to American Apparel for $25 (in-store only, exp 2/19/11). Their women's clothing isn't my style, but it turns out they carry clothes for babies and kids that are quite stylish. And all of their clothes are made in America. Their store locator is here. This in an online deal that seems to be available in every city (and is definitely in Los Angeles), and it can be purchased by anyone regardless of location (just click on "Visit More Cities" at the top of the page to change your location). You can also get a $10 credit when someone signs up using your referral link and makes their first purchase (thank you if you join(ed) using my referral link!). Don't forget to shop through Ebates to get back 3% of your purchase.

Another Groupon deal worth mentioning is the "deal nearby" in Kansas City: a $50 voucher to Touched by Flowers for $30. The voucher includes the $9.95 shipping fee, so its value is actually $59.95. Touched by Flowers donates 50% of the profits from your purchase to a charity that you choose, and they use local florists to arrange and deliver your flowers. If you send flowers to anyone, this is a great deal that doesn't expire until 11/23/11.

Today's Amazon free mp3 of the day is the live version of Alright by King's X.

Also at Amazon, as I write this, you can get boxed sets of Magic Tree House series for less than $7. You might be able to get a better price from your school's Scholastic catalog, if your child's teacher provides those, but if you have a younger reader, this is a great deal. I haven't read these books myself but they were recommended to my friend by her daughter's first-grade teacher as good starter chapter books. Disclosure: I'm an Amazon affiliate, so any purchase you make after entering Amazon through a link on Chief Family Officer supports this site at no additional cost to you. Thank you!

To celebrate the holidays, Target is giving away gift cards on Facebook.

Here's a rather impressive Ben 10 Alien Force bento.

Get a free sample of Burt's Bees lotion via Facebook.

Get a printable coupon for a free Bath & Body Works travel-size item with any purchase (exp 12/1).
