Midmorning Coffee: Pomi Tomatoes at Amazon

As I mentioned yesterday, Pomi tomatoes are BPA-free, and reader Teri pointed out that they are available at at Amazon.Unfortunately, they appear to be even more expensive there when you factor in shipping (Amazon doesn't sell or ship them directly), but I'll keep my eyes open for other online alternatives. Maybe eventually there will be a workable deal through one of the daily deal sites.

Amazon has fine jewelrymarked down by up to 70% off. There are some cute necklaces and earrings for under $12, and I find that these make fantastic affordable gifts. It's actually been a while since I've seen a jewelry sale like this at Amazon, so I'm happy they're doing these markdowns again! Disclosure: I'm an Amazon affiliate, so any purchase you make after entering Amazon through a link on Chief Family Officer supports this site at no additional cost to you. Thank you!

Also at Amazon, you can download a free Christmas sampler album.(Via My Good Cents.) has more new coupons, including 50 cents/1 Land O Lakes Butter, Buy One, Get One Free Gold Peak Tea, $3/1 Zantac 24-ct+, and $1/3 Eco-Foil. Links via

GrouponOver at Groupon, you can get $20 worth of Make-Your-Own Bears for $10 or $50 toward any Build-A-Party Celebration for $25 at Build-A-Bear Workshop. This Groupon is valid at all Build-A-Bear locations, but you'll need to visit the Chicago page to see it. To change your location, just click on the city name at the top of the page. Links via

Pomi tomatoes are available on a few other websites, but they all work out to about $5-$6/box with shipping, which is why I was so happy to find them at Wal-Mart! :-)

Trader Joes used to carry a boxed tomato as well, but it was discontinued a while ago. Hopefully they'll bring it back as they were only about $2/box.

Pomi costs less than $3.50 in many stores even Whole Foods, Stop & Shop and Publix markets. I would do some research because I've NEVER seen it for $4-$6 a box EVER.
