Midmorning Coffee: Hot after-Christmas deals

If you've still got money to spend after Christmas, there are quite a few deals to be had today.

Groupon has a national deal today: 2 Personalized 12-Month Wall Calendars from Shutterfly for $20. Tax and shipping are not included, and it looks like standard shipping is $8.99 for 2 calendars. You can get a $10 credit when someone signs up using your referral link and makes their first purchase (thank you if you join(ed) Groupon using my referral link!). Don't forget to shop through Ebates to get back 3% of your purchase.

Amazon's Gold Box Deal of the Day is a 640GB Seagate External Hard Drive for just $46.99. That is an awesome price, since just a few months ago, I spent $60 on a 500GB hard drive. Disclosure: I'm an Amazon affiliate, so any purchase you make after entering Amazon through a link on Chief Family Officer supports this site at no additional cost to you. Thank you!

Amazon has a nifty Video on Demand/DVD deal going right now, where they are offering a $4 (movie) or $5 (TV show) credit when you rent and then buy the same participating title. That makes for a super deal on the Toy Story 3 DVD: Rent it for just $0.99, then buy the DVD for $9.99 and pay $5.99 after your $4 credit. If I'm reading the terms & conditions right, then your credit should be applied to your account upon payment for the rental. I still haven't seen Toy Story 3 yet, and the DVD is at the grandparents' house, so I'm thinking of renting it so I can watch it, and then buying the DVD to put in my gift box. The first two Toy Story movies are also $0.99 to rent, but the DVDs are $13.99 and $12.99, so not as great of a deal. Update: I just did the Toy Story 3 deal; the $4 credit was immediately applied to my account!

GAP is offering 50% off sale-items until noon today. (Via For the Mommas.)

Wild for Wags reports that you can make money on Chex Mix at Walgreens this week.

Life as Mom received a clever "better than a box of chocolates" gift that I'm going to keep in mind for next year's gifts.
