Morning Coffee: I wish Amazon still gave price adjustments

Back when I started blogging, Amazon would give you a credit if you bought something and they lowered the price in the next 30 days. Because as I mentioned back on Monday, I bought the LeapFrog Leapster Learning Game Batman for $10 as a stocking stuffer for Alex. Since Tyler likes the Leapster just as much, I went looking for a new game for him, and discovered that the Batman game is now down to $8.99. Of course, prices at Amazon fluctuate all the time but man, I wish I could get that $1.01 back! Disclosure: I'm an Amazon affiliate, so any purchase you make after entering Amazon through a link on Chief Family Officer supports this site at no additional cost to you. Thank you! has more new coupons, including $2/1 Listerine Whitening Rinse, $1.50/1 El Monterey Family Meals, and $1/1 Marie Callender's Dessert Pie. Links via Escalate Media Network

Here's a Walgreens update - the Super Jingle Cash offer (where you get a $5 Jingle Cash reward for spending $25, all the way up to $20 for a $100 purchase) is no longer before all coupons. I saw reports yesterday that the $25 total had to be after all coupons, but late in the evening, I saw a report that the $25 total has to be after Walgreens coupons, but before manufacturer's coupons.

I didn't realize they'd stopped doing price adjustments. Bummer. We had purchased two items that were on mega sale recently and I'd hoped we could adjust down to the new prices. Thanks for the update.

I think the only time Amazon does any type of adjustment is if you pre-order something and for some reason the price is lower than when you ordered the item. You get the lowest price then. My mom ordered the 25th Anniversary Wii Mario game for me and my husband for $29 but the game went up to like $55 the day before it was released. She'd been contemplating ordering the game for my brother but didn't listen when I told her the price would nearly double most likely. Needless to say he's not getting a copy of something he won't 100% like! I can't count the times I hear about a deal on Amazon and by the time I get to it the price has jumped up!
