Morning Coffee: Crazy LA Weather

A couple of weeks ago, it was so hot that we were all wearing shorts and t-shirts, but yesterday the high was around 50 degrees and it poured all night. Apparently hail fell in various parts of LA, but I didn't notice if it hailed here. At least it looks like the rain is gone, although it's going to be cold today (well, cold for LA!).

Amazon has some hot Grocery Lightning Deals today: Through 9 a.m. PST, you can get an 18-pack of Horizon Organic Chocolate Milk Singles for $13.23, or $0.74 each, and at noon, you can get a 12-pack of Annie's Homegrown Gluten-Free Rice Pasta & Cheddar Mac & Cheese - look for the price to be less than the Subscribe & Save price of $23.29, or $1.94/box. Disclosure: I'm an Amazon affiliate, so any purchase you make after entering Amazon through a link on Chief Family Officer supports this site at no additional cost to you. Thank you!

Went to Ralph's today, and Hefty zip-top bags were indeed part of the sale. They are $1.29 after the $3.00 instant savings. And there is a $1.00 coupon in the Vons "Joy of Football" book. So with the catalina, they were free! I was super excited about this, because we just ran out, and I was hoping for a good sale.

@Rebecca - I meant to respond earlier and thank you for your heads up! Free zip top bags is definitely a hot deal!
