Swagbucks celebrates their third birthday today with lots of codes and some changes. So head over to see what's going on, and if you haven't signed up yet, don't forget to use my referral link and code 3rdBirthday28 to get 50 bonus Swag Bucks (80 total!) just for joining. And thank you if you join(ed) Swagbucks using my referral link!

I have bought vanilla beans before, but they are expensive, so I'm happy to see this deal at Amazon: 1/2 lb of Madagascar vanilla beans for $22.29, or 16 Madagascar vanilla beans for $9.48 or $0.59 per bean. The 1/2 pound is approximately 54 beans, which works out to $0.41 per bean. Both items come with free shipping. I am debating getting the 1/2 pound and making Love and Olive Oil's Homemade Vanilla Extract. Disclosure: I'm an Amazon affiliate, so any purchase you make after entering Amazon through a link on Chief Family Officer supports this site at no additional cost to you. Thank you!

I was planning to rent a carpet cleaner from Ralphs this week, because the carpets really need a serious cleaning - the cost would have been about $50, and I would only have had 24 hours to clean the entire house. So I was thrilled to find Sense to Save's recommendation for the Hoover SteamVac Carpet Cleaner - it's $136 with free shipping, and her readers recommended a vinegar solution instead of the commercial cleaner.

Amazon's free MP3 of the day is Someone Like You by Adele. Entertainment Weekly can't seem to get enough of her and her new album - she's been mentioned in multiple issues.

Also free at Amazon are two Kindle downloads (and remember, you don't need a Kindle because you can use one of the free Kindle reading apps): PR 2.0: New Media, New Tools, New Audiences - about "how marketing professionals can leverage these new tools to enhance PR activities"; and Good, Better, Best Buy - about the history of Best Buy.

Wild for Wags reports that you can get cheap Coke Zero at Walgreens.

For the Mommas has some helpful Rite Aid updates.

Facebook likers of Purex can get a printable coupon for $1/1 Purex Complete Crystals Softener.

Common Sense with Money reports that you can get a Dyson DC17 vacuum for $241 at Sears this week with $5 off coupon code SEARS2011. Ship to store for free or pay $14. The same vacuum is over $400 after shipping at Amazon.

Hope you like the carpet cleaner! I think it does a good job and I hope it can handle what my kids throw at it!
