Ralphs: 4/20 - 4/26/11

Note: This summary of deals is based on the ad I get in Los Angeles, where Ralphs stores double coupons up to $1 (one like coupon per transaction). I don't list all of the deals, only the good ones. If I missed any, please let us all know in the comments. You'll need a Ralphs Rewards card to get most of these deals, so I use the Rewards card price in this post and assume you have your card scanned with each transaction. In addition to the coupons listed, you can also add electronic coupons to your Ralphs Rewards card at these sites: Shortcuts.com, Cellfire.com, Softcoin and Upromise. I find the electronic coupons to be unreliable when it comes to stacking them with paper coupons, so I assume they do not stack in the scenarios below. I don't print every coupon listed, so please verify amounts and quantities listed. If you give Ralphs your email address, they may also send you emails with e-coupons that are exclusive to your card. And if you bring reuseable bags, Ralphs will give you 5 Rewards points for each bag used (though you may need to remind the cashier).

At least some stores in LA County are still doubling multiple like coupons, including my own store. But until this seems to be a permanent state of affairs, I'm going to assume that only one like coupon will double per transaction.

You can get a $5 Ralphs gift card when you buy any 4 participating General Mills cereals or snacks. Selected cereals, and Natural Valley and Fiber One bars are $3 each with 2x the Rewards Points. Honey Nut Cheerios and Fiber One bars are pictured. There's new language (I don't remember it from last week) that says "1 reward per household" so it looks like you can no longer roll this deal. Here are some coupons that might go well with this deal:

Ralphs has a digital coupon for $1 off crest toothpaste.. giving you the toothpaste for FREE! Also I have a question... Where in Los Angeles do they double coupons at Ralphs?

@Kerry - Thanks for the heads up on the e-coupon! Every Ralphs I've ever been to doubles at least the first coupon up to $1.

    Thanks for doing the matchups!

My Ralph's has Maruchan Yakisoba noodles for $1. I have a coupon in my binder for 50 cents off that doubled to make it free. Not sure where the coupon came from, but either SS or RP in the last several weeks.

The Ralphs on Irvine Blvd. does not double ANY.

  • At 4/21/11, 1:04 PM, Blogger Chief Family Officer said…

@Monica - Glad you find it useful!

@devaedelman - Thanks! The coupon is from the 3/13 SS.

@Anon - Interesting. The fine print at the end of every ad doesn't expressly say coupons are doubled, but implies that all coupons are doubled, except ... and then lists a bunch of restrictions. If that's the store that's most convenient for you, I'd even call corporate and ask them about it. I know store managers get some discretion, but not doubling any seems like an abuse of that discretion.

Thank you! I love your blog and am always bummed when I miss a good deal due to them not doubling any coupons. I will give them a call.

My local Ralphs in Culver City said they double coupons up to $1.00 automatically. I wanted to take advantage of the GM Cereal deal and have a bunch of ecoupons for GM cereals...but the website said those can't be doubled. I'm glad I checked, It looks like the clipped coupons will work best for the GM / $5 Gift Card deal...

@Mia - Just an FYI, Target's manufacturer's printables for General Mills usually don't have the DND language.

If you use a Ralphs eCoupon on a product, can you also use a manufacturer's coupon on the same product?

    Thank you,
    Chris

@Chris - Technically, no, you can't stack e-coupons and paper coupons. Practically speaking, it depends on your cashier. Some will push the paper coupon through, while others will hand you back the paper coupon. Hope that helps!
