Evening Roundup: New month, new coupons?

I'm seeing reports of new coupons at Coupons.com, including $1.50/1 Glad Compostable bags, $0.75/1 Nesquik powder, and $1/1 Coppertone, but I'm not seeing them (yet).

Get 65 points at Recyclebank when you take visit the Beach in the Green Your Vacation challenge. You'll need to log in to Recyclebank, then click on the "Earn Points" tab, and then look for the Green Your Vacation icon. The 65 points come from clicking on the book, swimmer, hotel sign, keychain, plate, sunscreen, and beach bag, then taking the pledges and quizzes. Learn more about Recyclebank here.

Children's Place is offering 15% off and free shipping on all orders. Go through a shopping portal like Ebates or Mr. Rebates to get back 4% of your purchase. Selection on the clearance items is pretty slim, but if you're local, you may want to wait a few hours as our sales tax goes down by 1% tomorrow.

Through Sunday (7/3), get an additional 40% off clothes at the Disney Store Warehouse with code SALE40 - you're looking at adult t-shirts starting at $2.39, and infant and kids clothes starting at $3.59. For my friend K., the Princess nightgowns that her daughter wears as dresses, are $7.99 or $4.74 after discount.

Get a printable coupon for $5 off a $25 purchase at Family Dollar (exp 7/6).

Facebook likers of Hidden Valley Ranch can get a printable coupon for $1/1 Hidden Valley salad dressing.

Facebook likers of Oscar Mayer can get a printable coupon for $0.75/1 Oscar Mayer Selects Hot Dogs. That's a high value coupon for this product, especially if your store doubles.

Morning Coffee: Crazy Night + no more Amazon income

Last night was crazy, what with Blogger being down again for hours so that I couldn't post an Evening Roundup, and then an email coming in from Amazon stating that they've terminated all Amazon affiliates in California due to the new law imposing sales tax on online purchases. (I don't get how punishing affiliates helps Amazon . . .) I'll still post Amazon deals because a good deal is still a good deal, though, so no worries there! For readers who want to continue to support CFO through Amazon purchases (and fellow bloggers looking for other ways to monetize), clicking through to Amazon from ChiefFamilyOfficer.com will continue to provide financial support thanks to VigLink, which monetizes non-affiliate links. Unfortunately, it only works for clicks directly from the site and not via links in the daily email or RSS feed. As always, thank you for supporting CFO - it really is a delight to be able to make money just by sharing great deals and good info with you. :D

Coupons.com has lots of new coupons, including $1/1 Skittles, Starburst or LifeSavers Gummies, $0.55/1 Eagle brand condensed milk, $1/2 Peace cereal, and $1/1 CoolJuice. Also, be sure to print the coupons you want now since they reset coupons each month and some disappear as new ones appear.

Recyclebank is currently offering a coupon for a free Happy Baby product (up to $6) for 200 points (delivered via snail mail). I'm picking one up so we can finally try those yogurt melts. Learn more about Recyclebank here.

Daily deal site Mamapedia is offering two canvas photo prints for $39 - you get one 16x20 and one 5x7 canvas, and shipping is not included but is a flat rate of $11.95. Having recently priced canvas prints, this is a great deal that would make a fantastic gift. It's not too early to start shopping for the holidays, and I hope my parents aren't reading this because I'm thinking this would be a great gift for them. Thank you if you join(ed) Mamapedia using my referral link!

Regular Mom has details on a new Dove instant win game (even if you don't win, you get a $1 off coupon).

Vistaprint Note CardsVistaPrint is offering free custom notecards - you'll need to pay shipping of approximately $4.50. Links via MySavings.com.

Amazon's $0.99 Instant Video rental of the day is Country Strong with Tim McGraw and Gwyneth Paltrow. It gets 3.5 out of 5 stars in 79 reviews. When you rent a video from Amazon, you generally have 30 days to watch it, and 24 to 48 hours from the time you started watching it to finish it.

Amazon's free Android app of the day DoodleFit, a game that gets 4.5 out of 5 stars in 20 reviews.

Get a printable coupon for $10 off a $10 purchase at Buca di Beppo (valid after 4 p.m., dine-in only; exp 7/7). (Via Coupon Cravings.)

Get a printable coupon for $1/1 Morningstar Farms product.

Kids eat free at IKEA this weekend (7/1 - 7/4).

Get a printable coupon for $1/4 Red Gold tomatoes. (Via Printable Coupons and Deals.)

Vote in Apartment Guide’s Your Picks Your Place Sweepstakes for a chance to win a $10,000 grand prize or one of eight $250 weekly prizes.

Ralphs: 6/29 - 7/5/11

Note: This summary of deals is based on the ad I get in Los Angeles, where Ralphs stores double coupons up to $1 (one like coupon per transaction). I don't list all of the deals, only the good ones. If I missed any, please let us all know in the comments. You'll need a Ralphs Rewards card to get most of these deals, so I use the Rewards card price in this post and assume you have your card scanned with each transaction. In addition to the coupons listed, you can also add electronic coupons to your Ralphs Rewards card at these sites: Shortcuts.com, Cellfire.com, Softcoin and Upromise. Electronic coupons are not supposed to stack at Ralphs. I don't print every coupon, so please verify amounts and quantities listed. If you give Ralphs your email address, they may also send you emails with e-coupons that are exclusive to your card. If you give them your snail mail address, they may send coupon mailers to you. And if you bring reuseable bags, Ralphs will give you 5 Rewards points for each bag used (though you may need to remind the cashier).

At least some stores in LA County are still doubling multiple like coupons, though that may be changing. At this point, I don't think we can take anything for granted.

There's an 8-hour sale on Thursday. You can see the details on that here.

There's a Daytona Mega Sale, so buy 10 participating items and get $3 off at checkout (no $3 Catalina this time). There are probably more items tagged in store that aren't listed in the ad, so keep an eye out for shelf tags. Prices listed are after Mega Sale discount:

Morning Coffee: Cheap bowling

Daily deal site Groupon is offering 2 hours of bowling + shoe rental for 2 people for just $15 at AMF Bowling Centers ($47.39 value). The Groupon is valid at 285 locations through October 4. I'm thinking this would be a great way to spend some time in air conditioning during summer vacation - take two kids and relax while they have fun! Don't forget to go through a shopping portal like Mr. Rebates to get back 6% of your purchase, or ShopDiscover for 15% if you have a Discover card. Thank you if you join(ed) Groupon using my referral link!

Today's Ebates Daily Double store is Oriental Trading Comopany, which is giving 8% cash back (instead of the usual 4%). You can get free shipping on order of $49+ when you use the link on the Daily Double page - I've always liked getting my party favors from Oriental Trading Company, because they have inexpensive, individually packaged craft kits that are great for stuffing into favor bags. (I'm not a big fan of candy in favor bags.) I also get the non-individually packaged craft kits to put out during the party for kids inclined to make them. Thank you if you join(ed) Ebates using my referral link!

Amazon's $0.99 Instant Video rental of the day is Rabbit Hole with Nicole Kidman - it gets 4 out of 5 stars in 42 reviews. Disclosure: I'm an Amazon affiliate, so any purchase you make after entering Amazon through a link on Chief Family Officer supports this site at no additional cost to you. Thank you!

Regular Mom has details about a Dove Chocolate deal at Walgreens.

Gap and Old Navy both have summer sales going on and are offering free shipping on orders over $50. You can get 5% cash back by going through Upromise or ShopDiscover.

Tivo and DirecTV/TiVo customers can get a Bounty coupon by going to "TiVo Central" on your DVR and selecting the coupon. If you don't see the coupon, press the TiVo button twice to reload the page until it appears. Thanks, Coupon Cal!

If you signed up for the CVS shopping pass via Facebook, check your email for a printable coupon for 20% off your purchase (certain exclusions including sale items apply; exp 6/30).

Amazon's free Android app of the day is Speed ($0.99 value), an app that uses the location data from your GPS to show how fast you're actually traveling. It gets 3 out of 5 stars in 31 reviews - the negative reviews seem to be disappointed that the app doesn't do more than measure speed, and/or that they had to pay for it.

Passion for Savings reports that Ace Hardware has several free-after-rebate items right now.

What is Recyclebank?

Last week, Alicia asked if I could explain what Recyclebank is, so this is for her - and for you, if you've been wondering the same thing.

In a nutshell, Recyclebank is a site that rewards you for being green. To earn rewards, you need points, and you get those points by learning about how to save the environment and pledging to do some little things that help conserve natural resources.

The top left of each page on Recyclebank looks like this:

When you click on the tab that says "Earn Points," you'll see all the different ways that you can quickly earn points toward their rewards. Over on the right of the "Earn Points" page, you'll see banners like these:

Take the quiz in the banners to earn extra points. You'll see the banners on the homepage as well. Whenever you see a new banner on Recyclebank, it's worth checking to see if it's a new way to earn points.

If you click on the "Get Rewards" tab, you'll see the rewards that are available, and you can sort them by category using the menu on the left. There are a lot of high-value printable coupons, as well as discounts to popular stores. Plus, the coupons are often discounted so you can get them for fewer points. For instance, today you can get a printable coupon for $1/1 Dove Body Wash for just 20 points instead of the usual 40.

What I like most about Recyclebank is that not only is the program totally free, it's incredibly easy to accumulate points quickly. You can easily get 150+ points right now by taking all of the available quizzes, watching the "Lifecycle of a Cereal Box" video, taking the "Green Your Vacation" challenge, and doing the Aveeno Facebook pledges. You can also get 10 points for every person who joins Recyclebank using your referral link.

I try to let you know when new earning opportunities or great discounted rewards are available at Recyclebank, since the coupons can often get you cheap or free items when combined with a sale. And what's not to like about that? :)

Amazon's Instant Video rental of the day is The Next 3 Days starring Russell Crowe - it gets 4 out of 5 stars in 106 reviews. Disclosure: I'm an Amazon affiliate, so any purchase you make after entering Amazon through a link on Chief Family Officer supports this site at no additional cost to you. Thank you!

There are only a few more days to get this month's $5 MP3 albums at Amazon. Use this free $2 MP3 credit to get an album for just $3.

Get a printable coupon for 15% off one item at Staples (exp 7/2). Some exclusions apply, but it looks to me that unlike most Staples coupons, this one can be used on HP ink.

Amazon's free Android app of the day is Apparatus, a game that gets 4.5 out of 5 stars in 18 reviews.

Get a printable coupon for $10 off a $25 purchase at JC Penny (valid 7/1-7/4). (Via Printable Coupons and Deals.)

Evening Roundup: New coupons, including Smuckers, Gerber, Keebler + more

There are some new coupons at Coupons.com, including $1/2 Smuckers Ice Cream Toppings, $1/2 Gerber Puffs or Lil Crunchies, $0.75/1 Keebler Granola Fudge bars, $1/2 TGI Friday's snacks, $0.40/1 Treasure Cave cheese, B1G1 SunRype Squiggles, and $0.55/1 Chore Boy product {possibly not a reset}. I've also seen reports of a coupon for $1.50/1 Scott Naturals toilet paper 12-ct+ but it doesn't show for me.

Daily deal site Living Social is offering a $30 voucher to flash sale site Totsy for just $15. I bought this voucher from Plum District a few weeks ago, and used it to buy inexpensive pajamas for this coming winter (less than $6 per set!). Thank you if join(ed) Living Social or Totsy using my referral links!

Daily deal site Zuliily has Lego and Melissa & Doug toys on steep discount right now. Since I have two boys, I've taken to stocking Lego sets whenever I can get a great deal to keep in my gift box and give as birthday gifts.

Get 25 points at Recyclebank when you watch the Kashi "Lifecycle of a Cereal Box" video and take the quiz. Find it by clicking on the "Earn" tab and scrolling down.

Click through and follow the directions to get a free $2 MP3 credit at Amazon (expires 6/30). There are 100 hit songs in the $0.69 MP3 store - I downloaded Coldplay's Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall for $0.69, and then got the Glee version of Firework for $1.29.

Check out this post at Slickdeals to get a one year subscription to the Sunday LA Times for $9.88. I was able to order three copies in addition to the two I already get for less than $30 (my original subscription is close to expiring, so I wanted to get the cheap subscription while I could).

There's a new Video Values printable coupon for $1/2 20-oz Diet Coke that you can use at Rite Aid and stack with the $1/1 printable coupon that was previously available. The 20-oz bottles of soda are about $1.69 at my store, so if you have two $1/1 coupons, you'll pay $0.38 for two, plus bottle deposit if applicable.

Get a free sample of Honey Nut Cheerios.

Ralphs: 6/27 Update {including Thursday 8-hour sale match ups}

The SoCal grocery thread at Slickdeals contained warnings this past week about possible changes to coupon use at Ralphs, with some users reporting that their store was no longer doubling multiple like coupons and others saying that nothing had changed. Today was the first time this sales cycle that I've been able to stop by, and I decided to do a small order to see how things went. I didn't see any of my favorite cashiers so I went to a cashier I'd been to before that I vaguely remembered doubling multiple like coupons without batting an eye. This time, she scrutinized all of my coupons and was careful not to double the three Challenge butter coupons that said "do not double." Since those were the only duplicate coupons in my order, I don't even know if the store is still doubling multiples! Unfortunately, I didn't feel comfortable enough with her to ask if anything's changed. I plan to go back tomorrow and hopefully the cashiers that I'm more friendly with will be there.

There's a new printable coupon for $0.55/1 Goldfish Grahams, which will make them free after doubled coupon through tomorrow. (I wish I knew whether they'll still be $1 on Wednesday!)

Meanwhile, they had flyers up for an 8-hour sale on Thursday (6/30) from 1 to 9 p.m. Here's what's listed:

Pepsi or Diet Pepsi 12-pack $1.99 each WYB 4 (limit 1 offer per household)

Johnsonville Brats or Italian Sausage $1.99 (limit 4)
$1/1 Johnsonville Italian Sausage printable
$1/1 Johnsonville Smoked Chicken Sausage 6/19/2011 Smart Source
$0.99

Corona or Smirnoff Ice 12-pack $9.99 (limit 2)

Mission Tortilla Chips $0.99 (limit 2)

Raspberries $0.99 (limit 4)

Finally, I'm seeing reports that the Daytona Mega Sale is back at Kroger stores, so I'm guessing it will start on Wednesday at Ralphs. In the past, it has been Get $3 off when you buy 10 participating items, and the last one in February of this year added in a Catalina coupon for $3 off your next purchase - hopefully that'll be back this time as well.

Good Hands Roadside Assistance: Pay as you go

Thanks to my father, I've been a member of AAA since before I could drive - so over 20 years now. But I've used their services less than 20 times in those 20+ years, which is why I'm excited to share with you the Good Hands Roadside Assistance program from AllState. What I like about this program is that you do not need to have Allstate insurance to use this service and you pay only when you use it. But you can create an account and register up to five users ahead of time, so that if and when you do need the service, all you have to do is call the toll-free number. You can also keep your credit card number on file so that your authorized users (e.g., your children) don't need to carry a credit card with them.

Considering how unlikely you are to use the service, the cost is quite reasonable: $75 for a tow up to 10 miles, and $50 for all other services (jump start, tire change, lockout service & fuel delivery). The service is available in all 50 states for most passenger cars and light duty trucks.

You can sign up using the widget below, and spread the word to anyone you know who might be able to use this service:

Disclosure: Allstate is compensating me to help spread the word about their Good Hands Roadside Assistance program. Any opinions are my own. Read the full CFO disclosure policy here.

Amazon's free Android app of the day is Pocket Casts, which organizes and streams your podcasts and gets 3 1/2 out of 5 stars in 29 reviews.

Menu Plan Monday: First week of summer vacation

The first week of summer vacation is coinciding with some hot weather, although at least it won't be super hot. In fact, I'm going to dare to turn on my oven on Thursday, which is supposed to be the coolest day.

Monday - Macaroni & cheese (baked in the toaster oven), steamed broccoli

Tuesday - Beef tacos with the fixings

Wednesday - Sandwiches or hot dogs, sweet potato fries and/or sauteed green beans

Thursday - Pizza, salad

Friday - Summer Couscous Salad

Saturday - Leftovers

Sunday - Dinner out

Evening Roundup: Fun week at Swagbucks!

Search & WinSwagbucks is my favorite way to earn free money, and you only have a few more days to sign up and enter code JuneBoom to get a bonus 50 Swag Bucks, for a total of 80 Swag Bucks to start. Thank you if you join(ed) Swagbucks using my referral link!

Wild for Wags has some updates on this week's Walgreens deals.

The Parade magazine in my Sunday newspaper had several coupons, including Buy One, Get One Free (2 pc) Kentucky Grilled Recipe $5 Everyday Meal, and $2/1 Pediasure. The KFC coupon is reportedly in the USA Today magazine as well, so be sure to clip the coupons before tossing the magazines out!

Stretching a Buck has this week's Target match ups.

Get a printable coupon for B1G1 scoop or swirl at Baskin Robbins.

There are new printable Target coupons, many for Kraft products.

Get a printable coupon for $5 off a $25+ purchase at Dollar General, valid Saturday (7/2).

You'll find a list of this week's CVS deals here.

If you're new to The Drugstore Game, these new starter transactions will help you get your feet wet and show you how The Drugstore Game can save you money on things you already buy. Be sure to sign up for a free CVS Extra Care card - you'll need it for the following deals (get it in store instead of online so they give you the card right away). You may also want to pick up a CVS green bag tag to earn ECBs for using reusable bags.

Morning Coffee: Last Sunday of June

I can't believe the year is almost half over! But this really is the last weekend of June. A lot of coupons expire on 6/30, so it's a good time to organize your coupons and cull out the ones you won't use. I send my expired coupons overseas to a military family that can use them on base for an additional six months. If you don't know anybody serving abroad, you can sign up with The Happy Housewife's Coupon for Troops program.

RedPlum has some new coupons, including $1/2 King’s Hawaiian 12-pack Rolls or 4-pack Sandwich Buns, $1/1 Tums 24-ct+, $0.50/1 Luigi's Italian Ice, and L'Oreal hair color products.

Through July 6, Amazon is offering $5 off selected magazine subscriptions, including Consumer Reports ($24), Parenting: The Early Years ($4.97), and Vegetarian Times ($7). These are all one-year subscriptions with auto-renewal, which I recommend canceling once your subscription starts so you don't get charged a higher price next year. To cancel, go to "Your Account" at the top right of any page on Amazon and click on "Manage Magazine Subscriptions." Disclosure: I'm an Amazon affiliate, so any purchase you make after entering Amazon through a link on Chief Family Officer supports this site at no additional cost to you. Thank you!

Amazon is also offering $10 off selected Nintendo 3DS games, making them $29.99 instead of the usual $39.99 (man, those games are expensive!).

Daily deal site Mamapedia is offering a $40 voucher to HouseWaresChoice.com for $20 (shipping is not included and starts at $9.95). It looks like you could get some pretty good deals even with the shipping costs included, as they have an extensive collection of kitchenware. Thank you if you join(ed) Mamapedia using my referral link!

For the Mommas reports that you may be able to get free Bengay Cold Therapy at Rite Aid.

Evening Roundup: Video Values reminder

Just a reminder to watch the June Video Values videos by 9 p.m. PDT tonight before they switch over to July's videos. I'm off to watch some now since I've barely watched any this month!

Coupons.com has a new coupon for $1/1 Axe product (redeemable at Albertsons), plus the $4/1 Alaway coupon is back.

Get a printable coupon for $1/2 Tree Top products. (Via Printable Coupons and Deals.)

Tomorrow through July 30, AARP members can get a $5 Register Reward at Walgreens on purchases over $20. (Via Wild for Wags.)

Get a printable coupon for $5/1 Bengay Cold Therapy product.

Vocalpoint members may be able to get a free sample of Downy Unstoppable.

I'd never heard of this, but you can apparently cap your cell phone account with one phone call to prevent abnormally large bills (I'm thinking this can be particularly useful if you've decided to allow your child to have a phone).
